While expanding the commissioners from 3 - 5 based on population and budgetary growth is one thing, budgetary concerns have not been addressed as citizens are on limited incomes. Such a measure may be required in the future but not now. § Ga. L. 1977, p.2817
HOUSING
While the increase in housing was possible with the addition of the new pump station, the impact on resdients and road safety needs to be addressed. Residents are seeking safe routes to the businesses in Rockdale County.
TRANSPORTATION
Eighty percent of Rockdale residents leave Rockdale for work every day, that is approximately 80,000 people. Rockdale County needs a transportation network and needs it now.
ENVIRONMENT
Rockdale County must preserve its natural resources and waste management.
EDUCATION
We need to develop targeted partnerships and training for jobs of the future.
BUSINESS
Diversify businesses in Rockdale with high tech jobs and business ownership.
